Fab Finds Friday: The Old Spaghetti House Unlimited Pizza and Pasta Promo -- Extended!

Rarely will you find a food establishment with the word “unlimited” plastered across its walls devoid of customers -- in fact, places like these are usually packed. Take, for example, Tokyo Tokyo and its market share composed of famished boys (that includes me) who can make a tiny piece of tonkatsu last until a sixth serving of rice (guilty parties, raise your hands!). That’s why when I and my forever-starving office mates passed by The Old Spaghetti House in Market! Market! and saw their poster of the Unlimited Pasta and Pizza promo, all we had to do was look at each other and we instantly understood.

Pinoys dig anything unlimited—unli rice, unli text, unli beer—and we corporate slaves are no exception. I can’t believe I’ve never heard about this promo before! Not that I hangout frequently in Market! Market! but good thing my friend Gautama wanted a new toy and dragged all of us to the nearest mall.

In my college days, I ate frequently in The Old Spaghetti House (TOSH) in Katipunan and UP Technohub, and I find it a pretty decent place that can fix my craving for thin-crust pizzas and yummy desserts. I haven’t eaten there for years, so I was so excited to be back!

At The Old Spaghetti House, you can get unlimited servings of pasta in four varieties: pesto, alfredo, pomodoro, and Vietnamese garlic, all for P149! Can’t survive eating pasta without pizza? Just add P50 to avail of unlimited pizza—choose from 5-cheese, Hawaiian, and Pepperoni!

If you’re expecting good-looking food and all that jazz, forget it. With TOSH’s promo, servers go around carrying plates of freshly cooked pasta and pizza and stuff your plate as if time is of the utmost essence and no second must be wasted. Service is fast and no-fuss—they practically throw the pies at you, and pour noodles all over you. I love it!

My favorite for the pasta dishes would be pesto—heavy on chlorophyll (LOL) and oil, exactly the way I like it. Second place goes to Vietnamese garlic, which was a bit sweet because of the garlic, and which reminded me of Mozu’s Al Ajillo. Tied on third place are the pomodoro and alfredo.

For the pizza, I had a special liking towards the 5-cheese variant. I tried both the Pepperoni and Hawaiian, but I recommend binging on the 5-cheese.

Everything tasted just right and definitely mediocre compared to other Italian restaurants—but hello? What can you expect for P199? For me though, they were good enough (appearance not disgusting, sauce not runny, noodles not soggy—in short, decent).

Before this promo ends, head over to Market! Market! and stuff your mouths silly with pasta and pizza! The promo is also available in the following malls:

If you want rice meals instead, TOSH also offers a Mix and Match Promo where you can choose among 4 entrees and 4 pasta dishes to create your own meat-and-pasta meal.

Don’t forget to try their Cookie Butter desserts as a fabulous way to end your carbo loading! Haha! And make sure walking is still a possibility right after!
