Grocery Finds: All Day Supermarket

I will admit it: I have become quite addicted to grocery shopping. Sure, it was a necessity at the start of the pandemic (it still is now, by the way). But eventually, I found myself raiding supermarkets and online shops not only for provisions, but also for the most interesting items. I observed how stores grew and expanded their stocks—now I don’t go there just to buy meats, fresh produce, and dry stuff, but also to find ingredients for exotic cuisines; indulge in sweets, booze, and milk; and hoard herbs I never saw in abundance in stores before. Exciting for a foodie and avid cook, indeed.

Recently I tried ordering from All Day Supermarket—perhaps the newest player in the grocery delivery space. I’ll be honest: months back, I thought All Day was simply a convenience store like 7 Eleven or Family Mart. I have never ever shopped in-store either. But when I checked out their website, I was incredibly surprised to see a lot of items I love, as well as a few that I don’t see in my usual stops!

So I was more than happy to give them a try. I browsed through their website and bought some essentials and indulgences a few weeks back, and I will list down some of them below. They offer same-day delivery, which is nice especially if you need something quite urgently. I checked out in the afternoon around 5PM and about an hour after, the All Day shopper was already doing the groceries for me. She called me regarding some unavailable items and provided suggestions for substitutes. She also asked me if I wanted the delivery on the same day—advising that it could be after dinner, which for me was perfect that time, since I was working night shift that week!

Anyway, I had a pleasant shopping experience with All Day and I think I’ll order again sometime. As for you fellow foodies, here are some of the nice items I bought from them as well as the things I made with them (I cook almost every day, so having lots of supply of various things is always perfect).

1.) Smoked Salmon

I liked this brand, and I was so happy to find it among All Day’s selections. The salmon is already flavored with dill, but of course, I needed to put more dill in my Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese Toast. What a delicious and healthy breakfast!

2.) Saikoro Steak

If you’re looking for fast-cooking beef cubes then you need to try Saikoro Beef. All Day has them, and I tried to simply sear some with garlic slices (Japanese slice) then served them with ponzu. I also tried using the beef for pad kra pao—it was delicious!

3.) Fresh herbs

If you follow me on Instagram, then you know I absolutely love my herbs and I kinda hoard whenever I can. You will never see our fridge without any sort of herbs in it. Which means that I was incredibly happy to see dill, Vietnamese mint, and curry leaves from All Day’s herb choices, aside from the usual basil and cilantro.

4.) Cledor ice cream

Cledor is my favorite Korean ice cream brand of all-time. I’m obsessed with the cream cheese flavor. If you haven’t tried it, you’re totally missing out!

It’s just nice that I can get both my fresh produce supply as well as the things I indulge in in the same store—something I always consider when shopping online. Thanks All Day for the great shopping experience!
