From the team that brought us restaurant concepts like Chelsea Kitchen, Museum CafĂ©, Simple Lang, Saboten, and Rocketroom comes a new resort right in the middle of one of the world’s best beaches. Coast Boracay, a 71-room modern-chic resort, is set to open in Station 2 this May 2016—Raintree Group’s latest offering to the continually-booming hospitality industry in Boracay. With the seemingly endless choices of accommodations and dining options in the island, what new things will Coast bring to the table?
I was able to get a sneak peek of the resort during its construction phase and to tell you the truth, what I saw really excited me. Aside from the spotless white walls slowly being put up, the minimalist structures, and the splashes of bright colors I saw in one of its demo rooms, what I loved more was the fact that Coast seems to have been designed for young, tech-savvy, and adventure-seeking travelers like me. From the pool-centric configuration to the compact rooms, everything looks smartly designed, and I can’t wait to see the final product.
Situated in Station 2, the resort will be accessible to most of the party areas as well restaurants, shopping centers, and activity hubs. The demo room we saw was a Deluxe Room (26 sqm.), which features a Queen-size bed, a coffee corner, a closet, a SMART TV, coffee and tea making equipment, a workstation, and an en suite bathroom with a rain shower, vanity, and toilet area. I loved the splash of red and black-and-white patterns on the sheets and pillows, as well as the striking contrast of white against wood. In general, the room looks cheery and inviting—the mood is, at once, perked up upon entry.
The bathroom is, again, minimalist and very beautiful. Each piece was carefully considered—making sure that it contributes to the overall aesthetics. The space was so clean I wanted to hover over the floor, not walk.
All of Coast’s rooms have SMART TVs installed, perfect for the young and modern traveler. I’m not 100% sure, but I believe it’s the first resort to have SMART TVs in all its rooms in Boracay.
There are other 3 room categories but I was only able to check out the Loft, which was still being constructed. This one was exciting with its separate areas for bedroom in the loft, and a living space downstairs. There will be 3 Loft Rooms in Coast. The other room types are Superior and One Bedroom Suite.
Coast will also feature 2 swimming pools and both of them will be at the center of the U-shaped resort.
The beachfront entrance will soon boast of a Raintree restaurant called Chacha’s—Coast’s all-day dining restaurant. Two other dining concepts—the Coconut Club (a sunset cocktail deck) and Cafecito (a food truck right on the shore)—will also open this year. I’m incredibly excited about this because anyone who has dined at any Raintree establishment knows that their food never disappoints.
Congratulations to the Raintree Hospitality Group and I can’t wait to see what more Coast has in store for us Boracay lovers! See you in the island soon!
