Cucina’s beautiful space once again becomes the venue of mini food fests as Marco Polo Hotel Manila celebrates its Weekday Craze this March and April. From Monday to Thursday, enjoy lunch and dinner buffet spreads at discounted rates, featuring Japanese, Valencian, Thai, and Catalan cuisines.
The hotel’s all-day dining a la carte and buffet restaurant is offering lunch and dinner for only PhP1,100 and PhP1,500 respectively—an awesome deal considering the extensive selections found in Cucina’s many stations. Indulge in sushi, sashimi, gyoza, ramen, katsu, yakitori, and other Japanese favorites every Monday alongside Cucina’s regular spread. Come Tuesday, embark on a delicious discovery with the Fideua—a Valencian seafood dish similar to the paella that uses noodles instead of rice. Wednesdays are for the heat lovers as the restaurant explodes with smells and flavors of Thai cuisine. Executive Chef Lluis transforms the place into his playground every Thursday with his hometown specialty, Catalan food.
We went on a Monday and we loved the freshly-prepared sushi selections from Cucina’s Japanese station as well as the pickled salads and juicy gyozas. Of course, not indulging in Chef Lluis’ paellas would be a crime—I got myself several helpings of the delicious fideua and paella mixta.
Whenever I dine at Cucina, I always look forward to having dessert because of their Hazelnut Opera Cake. Make sure you get some of this as well as the White Almond Cake and chocolate truffles.
Weekends are not included in this special promotion; however, diners can still enjoy themed buffets adhering to Cucina’s 7 Days, Seven Reasons philosophy. Every Friday, relish mouthwatering tuna creations with Cucina’s Sustainable Tuna day. Saturdays are reserved for the pork-obsessed—here, cochinillo (suckling pig) takes center stage. On Sundays, enjoy a delectable selection of fresh seafood with Boston Lobster in the spotlight—make sure to bring the whole family!
There’s always a reason to dine out and celebrate—and this seems to ring true with Cucina. This March and April, take advantage of Marco Polo Ortigas’ special promo when going out with family, friends, or colleagues or even celebrating someone’s graduation. Weekday Craze is offered at PhP1,100 (lunch) and PhP1,500 (dinner) while regular rates (see below) apply for Fridays to Sundays. Children aged 6 and below get to eat for free, while those from 7 to 12 years old get 50% off. For reservations, call (02) 720-7720.
