Pizza may have become a “lazy” option for most of us when it comes to birthday treats, potluck parties, or home snacking on an even lazier weekend, but there is no denying the comfort that this kind of food brings on any given day. I personally don’t care if it’s Italian or American style—show me a round pie loaded with toppings, and I would find it hard not to like. It’s just me, I’m a pizza person.
What is perhaps the country’s biggest pizza chain, Pizza Hut Philippines, recently launched their new product: the Hand-Stretched Pizza. Handmade pie boasting of Pizza Hut’s best-selling flavors, created with a twist. The crust is thinner than the regular and stuffed crust pizzas, but slightly thicker than the thin-crust version, which makes it chewy—the kind of pizza I especially love. It’s lighter than the ordinary-crust, though, plus here’s the best part: it comes with an exciting variety of crust glazes!
Choose from 5 base flavors—Supreme, Hawaiian Supreme, 3-Cheese, Cheesy Pepperoni, Cheeseburger—and add a glaze finisher. I loved the Honey Crunch glaze as it gives an interesting new dimension to the pizza, lending it a slight sweetness that made me feel as if I were eating dessert right after munching on my savory pie. I recommend pairing it with the Supreme for a burst of flavors.
I also got to try the Hawaiian Supreme paired with the Toasted Cheddar glaze. The pizza itself was sweetish because of the pineapples, so it was nice to have the contrasting sharp taste of cheese right at the end of my bite. I can't wait to try the Toasted Parmesan and Garlic Parmesan Butter glaze finishers.
I loved the Hand-stretched Pizza because, like Pizza Hut’s stuffed crust, it allowed me to eat everything and not throw away the oily, thick, tasteless edges. The Hand-stretched Pizzas are available at PhP499 for two Family-size pies. Call 911-11-11 and have them delivered to your doorstep now!
Have you tried Pizza Hut's new Hand-stretched Pizza? What did you think about it?
