McKinley Hill is truly evolving into a major food hub in the city of Taguig. Having worked in the area for almost 5 years now, I witnessed how the dining scene grew and the restaurant options multiplied: from the still-standing Kuse, Red Crab, and Little Asia offering family-style dining not only to employees but also to visiting folks during weekends; to the smorgasbord of fast food choices all over the area; and to the more upscale establishments in Tuscany Estates. Now, you can simply drop by the vicinity and get overwhelmed with the choices.

Established in late 2012, Wursty Wursty is one of the first restaurants which found its home in Tuscany. I remember how thrilled I was when it opened—it brought something refreshingly new to the McKinley dining scene and also signaled other restaurants and cuisines to dive into a new venture and explore this fast-rising hub. Soon, more restaurants followed suit and now you can find burger bars, Thai food, dessert shops, cafes, Canadian restaurants, wine shops, ramen-yas, and of course, Italian places in the strip.
Being the only German place offering legit food and beer in the area, it was only right that Wursty Wursty spearheaded the month-long Octoberfest celebration at McKinley Hill! Beer and food enthusiasts flocked the Venice Piazza for a night of eating, drinking, and having fun. Guests were able to partake on German grub paired with imported beers as well as some on tap—while listening to live bands which regaled everyone with lively music, old and new alike. Truly it was a night of celebration and reminiscence.
My officemates forced me to dance onstage with Ms. Octoberfest, Nica Escandor—who just stunned everyone with her beauty. I’m sure everyone didn’t pass the chance to take a photo with her (I even saw some security guards posing, LOL.)
Octoberfest celebrations shall run for the whole month so make sure to drop by McKinley Hill and grab a beer or two. Check out also some beer-infused dishes especially crafted by participating restaurants—like Little Asia’s drunken chicken and Main Street’s Mussels in Herbed Beer Broth, which is one of my favorites!
From 7PM to 9PM, guests can take advantage of an unlimited beer promo at only P299 (local beers) and P499 (imported brands). Hurry up, gather your friends, and don’t miss the fun!
Special thanks to Mr. Solomon Cu and Mr. Ferdinand Peran for the awesome photos!
