Right beside Wursty Wursty sits one of McKinley Hill’s latest additions to its smorgasbord of restaurants. Main Street, a Canadian-American restaurant, had its soft-opening in Tuscany last August and celebrated its grand opening just last Sunday!

If you’re enticed
by an ambiance that is easygoing and classy, Main Street is a must-visit. I loved
the dim lighting, laid-back music, and interiors dominated by black, brown, and
white. But perhaps what struck me the most was the friendliness of the staff. When
we came in, the server was taking pictures of a huge group who just finished
their dinner, and after doing so, quickly turned her attention to us. I liked how
she offered suggestions when I told her I had a hard time choosing what to
order!
In the end,
I picked the Buttermilk Fried Chicken: crispy chicken served with a garlic
cream sauce and a choice between herbed rice of fries. The sauce blew my mind–it’s
a heavenly blend of sweet and salty. I liked how the server kept on offering me
a refill!
As for the herbed rice, I loved how it only had hints of flavor in it, not overpowering the taste of the chicken. I hate it when I am served with garlic or fried rice variants that saturate the taste buds and steal away the flavor of the meat dish.

The
Grilled Pork Chop was a real stunner, as well. A thick slab of tender pork, on
top of which sits a sweet and mildly spicy barbecue sauce, of which I also
asked for a refill! I swear, this isn’t just pork chop!

All throughout
this amazing dinner, the server kept on anticipating if we needed anything—I really
liked that. For the awesome service itself, I would come back to this place. It’s
such a shame that we only had a quick dinner; I found it very easy to lose
track of time in Main Street, where long night of drinking and eating sounds
just about perfect. When I come back, I’d like to try their Kitayama steak, or
maybe the salmon fish and chips. Perhaps next time I can bring more friends and
even share a few drinks and crab cakes. Main Street was impressive and I can’t
wait to go back!
