The Deluxe Room

Our guestroom was a Deluxe Room (PhP5,490++/night) which had two twin beds, a 32-inch flat-screen TV, an executive desk that faces the window, coffee and tea making facilities, a personal refrigerator, and an en suite bathroom. The room, while small, is tastefully designed, with muted earthy tones of brown and green, and space-saving furnishings. Everything looked clean and brand-new.

The personal refrigerator is stocked with snacks and drinks which late sleepers would find delight in as they catch up on work until the wee hours of the night. Along with the coffee and tea equipment, it is conveniently set up beside the work desk.

For clothing, built-in cabinets offer plenty of space to store belongings. Robes, bedroom slippers, and an electronic safe are also provided.

The Deluxe Room is also available in a Queen-bed configuration, and comes with complimentary evening turndown service. In general, despite its size (23 sqm.), I found the room to be incredibly comfortable—conducive to lazy sessions like watching TV or just lying in bed all day.

Dining

CafĂ© Belmont

Downstairs in the lobby is CafĂ© Belmont, the hotel’s all-day dining restaurant. Guests can avail of the complimentary breakfast at this cozy space, boasting of the same color scheme as the rooms. I loved the compact yet delicious breakfast selections which include Filipino (longganisa, daing na bangus, tapa) and American (bacon, sausage, cereal, chicken nuggets) dishes, along with a few other viands.

The bread station offers several jams and spreads, while the dessert section has a variety of cakes, fruits, and pastries. There’s also a salad and cold cuts section for those who prefer light starters.

We tried CafĂ© Belmont’s dinner buffet (PhP900++) as well, whose theme changes regularly. For July and August, the spread features South East Asian cuisine—so we got to enjoy Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian, Singaporean, and Indonesian specialties like pad thai, laksa, chili crabs, green curry, beef lok lak, and many more. Of course, the Philippines being in South East Asia as well, expect tasty Pinoy favorites like lechon kawali and baked mussels. End your meal with some luscious sweets like Pandan Inipit, Ginataang Bilo-Bilo, and Turon Halo-Halo. Liquors and other alcoholic beverages are available for an additional price.

In-Room Dining

For a truly relaxing staycation, try CafĂ© Belmont’s room service. The same items from the restaurant’s a la carte menu can be enjoyed in total privacy—while watching TV or just lounging lazily in bed. I liked their signature Belmont Beef Burger (PhP460), a beautiful mess consisting of pure beef patty, caramelized onions, mushrooms, bacon, cream cheese, and blueberry compote. The burger is sweet, salty, and a bit sour all at the same time—a delightful assail to the taste buds.

The Grilled Chicken Supreme (PhP230) is herbed and spiced chicken served with papaya chutney and mushroom risotto. A yummy and filling lunch choice, I would say—and for a 4-star hotel, reasonably priced too!

Our food was delivered to our room in around 30 minutes, and of course, I made sure to take a photo like the one below for Instagram purposes even though the server was already gritting his teeth, trying to keep still. LOL!

Other Amenities

Checked-in guests can enjoy a resort-style staycation with the hotel’s rooftop pool, surrounded by greens and overlooking the city. There’s a mini jacuzzi and a kiddie pool too, as well as a massage deck and daybeds.

Belmont Hotel also has a Fitness Center (accessible to checked-in guests for free) and a spa with sauna and steam room. For business travelers, there are several meeting rooms available; services like airport transfer, same-day laundry, limousine and taxi, and airport shuttle are also offered.
